Mancunians is Manchester’s Dual Code Rugby club offering Rugby League in the summer months and Rugby Union in the winter. Working all over Manchester providing after school clubs, teaching cover and assisting schools to run sports teams, the club has a 20:20 vision of getting 1,000 people active regularly and has a long-term goal to be a professional club.
We’re looking for the correct person to develop our processes in our focus sports, particularly both codes of rugby so that our offer is unrivalled and our coaches deliver quality sessions to all our players, parents, co-owners and community partners.
This is a new, exciting, part-time, paid role which would suit someone who has several years of coaching experience or who is a current sports development or performance professional and who wants to assist an ambitious club to grow.
Advising the board of directors, you will lead and mentor a group of coaches and volunteers who will look to you for inspiration and advice. We currently have a growing group of ‘Rugby Kidz’ U7’s, U8’s U15’s, Wheelchair and adult players and we would like to further develop these teams in both codes of rugby and build a year rouund club. This role involves some delivery but one of your key objectives is to develop a workforce that can sustain the growth that we are expecting to have in the coming years.
This is a new, exciting role and we would be looking to you to develop your own job description following consultation with the club.
